Badgers Continue Winning Ways with Sweep of Saint Norbert's

The Badgers had another dominant weekend before heading into league play this weekend against St. Thomas. In game one, the Badgers jumped into the lead after Ranheim put one home from Zaccaro and Schammel. Ripley and Feldt added two more later in the period to make it 3-0. St. Norbert tacked on one of their own as Schreiter was beat on an odd man rush. The Badgers would add a couple more as Moser and Elder found the back of the net. They would take a 5-2 lead into the third as SNC added another one late. The offense never stopped firing as Jordan Hylbert and Hunter Schwehr tacked on two more goals to lead the Badgers home to a 7-2 victory.
Game two was traditional for the Badgers. Ripley and Moser would help propel the team to an early 2-0 lead before SNC would sneak one passed Goss on a breakaway. Cohn didn't waste much time getting that one back though as he buried one shorthanded; 3-1 Badgers after the first. The second was all Badgers as Cohn added his second of the game, Moser had a beauty Delaney tallied his first of the year and Elder had one late. The team would take a 7-1 lead into the second intermission. In the third Joe Simon would send one to the back of the net from the point and Hylbert had a tip in. Norbert's added two of their own to make it 9-3, solidifying the sweet for the boys.
Next weekend the Badgers host SE WCCHA rival and defending WCCHA champions St. Thomas. The first game will be at the Shell Friday night at 8:30PM and game two will be at Hartmeyer, bright and early, at 8:15AM. See you at the rink! #PursuingDestiny
