Badgers Move to 4-0 After Sweep of UW-Oshkosh

The Badgers looked to continue their early season success as they took to the road for the first time for game one of their annual home & home series with UW-Oshkosh Friday night. The team was still shaking off the road legs as the Titans notched the first goal early in the first. But the Badgers would bounce back to tie heading into the first intermission. The second period was an offensive onslaught by both clubs as 7 goals were scored between the both of them. Sam Gentges buried his first as a Badger on the power play as the team took a slim 5-4 lead into the second intermission. The third was intense for all 20 minutes as the Titans tied the game late. With just over 3 minutes to play, Colin Moser was gifted the puck in the slot and fired home a missile glove side to give the Badgers the lead 6-5. Sean Goss played his heart out all 60 minutes as the Badgers outlasted the Titans to steal game 1.

Game two on Saturday was a different story. The Badgers must've gotten the rest they needed as John Simon opened the scoring early with a howitzer top shelf. Brandon Zaccaro also netted his first of the year as the Badgers took a 2-0 lead going into the second. In the second period, Jake Feldt had some fancy moves that left the defender in the weight room of the Shell as he tucked home the potential goal of the year. Parker Storck also broke out in his second game of the year, netting his first. With a 5-0 lead to start the third, the Badgers weren't done yet. Zaccaro got his second of the game and Mikey Perea tucked home a rebound with 1 second left to make it 9-0. Rookie goaltender, Tyler Schreiter, got the shutout as the Badgers dominate in game two to remain undefeated.

The team looks to take advantage of their bye week before hosting DePaul on 9/27 and 9/28. Game one will be at 8:15PM at the Shell and game two will be at 1:00PM at Hartmeyer Ice Arena.
