Badgers On The Road Again | Past Couple Weeks Review
The Badgers are jumping on the road again this weekend to play the St. John's Johnnies. This is an interdivisional matchup for the Badgers and the first time in 4 years the two teams will face off. The boys are looking to bounce back from the sweep from Concordia and utilize last week's bye.
A short review of the last couple weeks of play for the Badgers:
The weekend of 10/21-22, the Badgers hosted the Mavericks of Minnesota State - Mankato. The Badgers dominated play all weekend, taking advantage of every opportunity that the Mavericks would give. Mental toughness has been the downfall of the Mavs the last couple of seasons, but they were looking for revenge after last year's defeat in the Carla Berg Cup Final.
Game one: Badgers 7, Mavericks 2.
Game two: Badgers 3, Mavericks 2.
The following weekend, the Badgers had a home/home series with the new kids on the block of Concordia University - Wisconsin. In their sophomore season, Concordia is looking to make a splash and break into the Regional tournament for their first year of postseason eligibility. The matchup proved to be a tough one for the Badgers, as the team would fall in both games. Concordia is a strong team, with most of their team bolstering a birthday in the mid-late 90's and many of their players having some NCAA experience.
Game one: Badgers 0, Falcons 5
Game two: Badgers 5, Falcons 9
Thank you for your continued support as we are officially at the halfway point in our regular season campaign! The team is excited for the back half of the year and we have our sights set on returning to the postseason!
