Badgers Sweep Central Region Foe Depaul

The Badgers faced off against central region opponent DePaul to close out September. In game one, the Blue Demons opened the game with 2 quick goals. But the Badgers would answer late with a goal on the power play from rookie Parker Storck and rookie Luke Schammel's powerful even strength tuck. Tied at 2 entering the first, it felt like deja vu as the two teams would go back and forth. Elder would score first for the Badgers with an answer 5 minutes later by DePaul. Hunter Schwehr sniped one home on an odd man rush to put the Badgers up once again but the Demons answered late to tie it going into the intermission. The third started at 4-4 with both teams looking to edge out the win. Hunter Schwehr started the offensive tirade with a quick goal. Colin Moser tucked another one home for the good guys on an odd man rush and then Schwehr scored on the empty net to finish the hat trick and solidify the win for the Badgers 7-4.

Game two was a different story. The Badgers came out flying with goals from Perea, Storck and Schwehr(2) to make it 4-0 after the first. Schwehr continued his dominate performance adding one more in the second to make it 5-0. The Badgers would ride that lead to victory, sweeping the Blue Demons.

With that sweep, the Badgers move to 6-0-0 on the year. Next weekend the team takes on Saint Norbert College at home. #PursuingDestiny
